This is a late post of the felt owl workshop that I did a month back. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy!
My very first workshop came about from a centerpiece design that I made for a client’s baby shower party. She asked for an owl centerpiece that she would use for throwing a shower for a friend. Excited for the super cute theme I ventured into my research for the perfect owl centerpiece! As I thought of designs and searched the net for inspiration, it was evident that I was to embark in a hand sewing frenzy with the design that I chose to execute.
Hand sewing 30 pcs of plush owl ornaments got me addicted to the craft! The rave reviews about the cuteness of the felt owls got me thinking of sharing the craft to others who would want to learn how to make it—felt owl workshop was born!
Gathering friends and friends to be, in the cute coffee shop Maja’s (along Aguirre Ave., BF Homes), I did my first workshop! A crafternoon of fun, learning and making! I provided each participant with a complete kit of all the materials that they would need to make an owl plushy bag hang and a felt owl gadget case. We created the day away, busily sewing and talking about all things craft and motherhood. In between we enjoyed yummy desserts and drinks from Maja’s. I was so happy and excited to be with women who have the same love for crafting!
